Who We Are
We are Team Triveni, of Triveni Indian Students Association (TISA) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The current team members are the authors of this blog/website. The blog is managed solely by the current core team. Should any changes occur to that, it will be reflected in the privacy policy with immediate effect. Click about us to find out more about who we are. For the remainder of the policy, the blog and the author will be collectively referred to as ‘we’ (including ‘Team Triveni’, ‘Triveni ISA’,’TISA’, ‘Triveni Indian Students Association’, ‘website’, ‘blog’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). The reader/s shall be referred to as ‘you’ (including ‘user’, ‘party’). The university we are a part of shall be referred to as the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (including ‘UNC Charlotte’ & ‘UNCC’)

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Data Security, Protection & Sharing
Substantial precautions are implemented to protect your information. We strive to only collect necessary information for contacting you and treat all information as sensitive. Wherever sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to our web database in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar indicating networkwide SSL – Certified encryption, and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the webpages.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only the website creator is granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service to prevent spam comments from being posted.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
